I am literally so sore from gym, that I can barely type, let alone stay awake.
I may have over done it. I was looking forward to going to the gym all day because of my high from yesterday, but waited too long and lost the energy to go. However, I knew I would feel so much better about myself if I went, so I just pushed myself and showed up.
I started on the treadmill and was.not.feeling it. I went to the weight room and started doing what I know and still wasn’t really feeling any different. I did my sets for my arms and went on to do some leg presses. Then I did the hip abduction machine and still felt the same. So I got on the treadmill and shredded for 30 minutes, because I didn’t do much different from my regular routine, but all of a sudden my body was tight and tired.
Like, my abs hurt right now, while I’m laying in bed. I didn’t particularly use them, that I noticed, except that I was super conscious of my core throughout my entire work out tonight. I usually am not so intense with it, but even while walking on the treadmill I was tightening my core and getting strength from that.
My coach is gonna be at the gym tomorrow morning, and hopefully so will I, so I can ask him a few questions. I really don’t want to wake up too sore tomorrow because I want to get one last exercise in before I head to Pittsburgh in the afternoon with my brother.
We are going to a Steeler’s game Sunday, but spending the night in Pittsburgh tomorrow. He wants to go to this famous sandwich place, which I already told my trainer about, so I wanted to get the workouts in now and Sunday will be my rest day for the week.
I had a great chat with a friend today and she inspired me to clean my room. So it’s nice to have it all cleaned and neat. Then later my mom was too hungry to go to the store, so I offered to go for her. She was craving pasta, so we decided we should have spaghetti squash and meat sauce for dinner. I ran to the store and bought the supplies, whilst also getting myself some “treats.” I got a coconut water and a pumpkin spice candle.
I didn’t even drink the coconut water, I’ve been enjoying regular water so much today. But I have to tell you how much I love the candle. It was the best feeling coming home after the gym, eating a serving of spaghetti squash, taking a shower and getting into bed in my clean room and smelling a cozy scent. I really feel like today I took care of myself!
Winning. ❤
